2011 marked the thirteenth annual ride through the beautiful St. Croix River Valley.
In past the Autumn Trek has included:
- Well marked routes and trail maps
- Sag wagon support
- Beautiful rest stops with great food
Also, check out!
- Buffalo and long horn cattle (65+ routes)
- Beautiful countryside (all routes)
This year we have four scenic country routes from moderate to the ultimate challenge
Fantastic 1/4 Century: Let the few hills on this route test whether you are ready for longer distances. Two rest stops.
Flat Forty: A moderate ride that travels south of River Falls past the Circle K Apple Orchard before heading back to Hoffman Park. Three rest stops.
65 Trimbelle River Rumble: A moderate to challenging ride along the Trimbelle River to the Gas Light. Four rest stops.
101 Mile Century Climb: For the rider who wants the ultimate experience with almost 8400 feet of climb. This ride adds two extra loops to the 65 mile ride. The route includes a beautiful 18 mile loop, from the Gas Light, that has some long hills on its route to the Great River Road, Mississippi River bluffs and its return to Hoffman Park. (no SAG support on the extra loops) Five rest stops.
Hotdogs and brats after the ride.
Proceeds from the Autumn Trek will be used to promote bicycle safety and education, bike/pedestraian trail enhancements and interconnected bike/pedestrian routes in the West Central Wisconsin River Valleys. The Wisconsin DOT Transportation Grant awarded through our efforts, to the Town of Troy in 1999 covers the cost of bike shoulders on both side of South Glover Road and North Townsvalley Road. Due to the completion of this and County Road FF and MM bike shoulder projects, there is a continous linkup of pedestrian/bicyle trails that connects Hudson and River Falls.
